There are set times throughout the year when plans are developed; approved; implemented; reviewed and revised; and reported against. The Planning and Reporting Schedule details CQUniversity's key planning and reporting activities throughout the year.
The Planning and Reporting Schedule is available in Adobe PDF format for your download/printing.
The Vice-Chancellor and members of the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Committee (VCAC) are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the required operational plans or faculty portfolios for each area for which they are responsible are developed and reported against. The Vice-Chancellor or responsible VCAC member may delegate planning and reporting responsibilities to appropriate Senior Managers within each area as required.
It is also the responsibility of the relevant VCAC member or designated Senior Manager to ensure that the activities listed in the operational plan are disseminated to the relevant people or areas within their portfolio (eg. division, school, centre, work unit) for action and reporting.
Effective monitoring and evaluation (and subsequent reporting) is critical to the achievement of organisational goals and the continuing improvement in the effectiveness and the performance of activities which support the strategic direction of CQUniversity Australia.
"Traffic Light" reporting to measure the progress towards each of the strategies/activities listed is used to identify areas exceeding expectations (purple); areas meeting expectations (green); areas requiring improvement (orange) and areas requiring critical attention (red).

Where targets cannot be quantified in percentage (%) terms or other hard targets such as numbers, these are assessed as a measure of risk in achieving the outcome.
Templates to assist in the planning and reporting process can be accessed through Resources, Policies and Templates.
