2007 Showcase

The CQUniversity Showcase, held annually, is designed to provide staff with the opportunity to hear national and international speakers discuss current issues in learning and teaching in higher education. In addition, the Showcase provides a forum for CQUniversity staff to engage with their colleagues and hear about current practice at CQUniversity in a friendly and supportive environment.

In 2007 the theme for the Showcase is: 'The Scholarship of Learning and Teaching at CQUniversity - Informing Practice - Sharing Wisdom'

Some of the highlights planned for 2007 include:

Keynote presentations by:
- Professor Gary Poole, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth and the Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and learning at the University of British Columbia
- Professor Ron Oliver, Professor of Interactive Multimedia in the School of Communications and Multimedia at Edith Cowan University
Pre-Showcase workshops on Post-Graduate Supervision and Expectations, SoLT and a Technology Expo
Student Panel
Faculty/Divisions/AICs sharing practices and wisdom
Debate on the teaching - research nexus
Showcase Reception, being hosted on CQUniversity Rockhampton campus
