Biography

Phil Race is Emeritus Professor at Leeds Metropolitan University and visiting professor at the University of Plymouth. Phil’s passion is about ‘making learning happen’, in an approachable way, without recourse to jargon, acronyms or elitism.

Phil started as a scientist, but gradually became an education developer. Details of Phil’s work can be found at the following website http://phil-race.co.uk/ .

Phil’s work was recognised in 2007 by the Higher Education Academy awarding a National Teaching Fellowship, and the status of ‘Senior Fellow’ of the Academy.
