Study Tours for Groups

CQUniversity Rockhampton

The English Language Centre runs short Study Tour programs which combine English language classes with a wide range of cultural excursions and activities. Study Tour programs are not available as a principal course for holders of student visas.

Features include:Group of students on boat

  • Study Tour Coordinator;
  • 24-hour emergency contact;
  • homestay accommodation with friendly, caring families. Residential college accommodation is also available;
  • English language tuition, as per group needs;
  • tourist and leisure activities;
  • duration two to ten weeks;
  • individually designed to suit each group's specific requirements; and
  • gender specific tours available.

 

Study Tours for University Students

The courses are designed to combine English language study with academic studies and cultural activities. The English language content can be either General English or English for Specific Purposes. Participants are given the opportunity to experience life at an Australian university, visit study related organisations and participate in a range of cultural activities in the Rockhampton area and take part in academic activities.

Study Tours for High School Students

The courses combine an English language program specially written to suit the level and interest of lower and upper schools students, with a fully inclusive and varied program of excursions and activities. Students have opportunities to interact with local people on campus and in their homestay.

Study Tours for Special Interest GroupsCapricorn Caves

Specially designed Study Tours for business, sporting, hobby or other special interest groups provide opportunities for participants to learn English and pursue their interest with an Australian flavour.
For example:

  • learn everyday English and the language of golf while you play on world class courses in the Rockhampton area.
  • practise your English speaking skills as you visit places of natural beauty such as wetlands, beautiful coastal areas, national parks and the outback.
