Prerequisites

  • English proficiency required for international students with English as a second language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
  • Bachelor degree (3 year) or Diploma plus relevant industry experience assessed by Head of Program or a CQUniversity Graduate Diploma of Islamic Finance

Professional Recognition

Students who pass the Master of Islamic Finance will be eligible for 10 exemptions from the Association of Chartered Islamic Finance Professionals (ACIFP) papers. To become a full practicing member of the ACIFP, students will have to complete an approved article-ship and pass the final four papers directly with ACIFP

Career Opportunities

The Master of Islamic Finance program will prepare you for a career as an Islamic finance specialist in the banking, finance and insurance industries, or as a specialist accountant or lawyer (if already qualified in those disciplines).

Program Structure

You must complete six core courses and six relevant electives to satisfy the requirements for the Master of Islamic Finance award. Exit awards are available at the level of Graduate Certificate in Islamic Finance (three courses) and Graduate Diploma of Islamic Finance (six courses).
