Bachelor of Tourism

CQUniversity’s new Bachelor of Tourism is designed to offer you the knowledge and skills to enter the expanding tourism industry. At CQUniversity we think BIG when it comes to tourism education. CQUniversity can provide students with cutting edge knowledge through its membership of the Washington DC based Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). Following the UNWTO General Assembly in Korea, in October 2011, CQUniversity will become Australia’s first regional university to be accepted as an affiliate member of the organisation. Our tourism courses are delivered by internationally experienced practitioners, with two leading tourism academics being members of the ‘Global Panel of Tourism Experts’ appointed by the UNWTO to give strategic policy advice on international tourism issues. At CQUniversity we engage with global initiatives dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism practices here at the local level and around the world.

What am I studying?

Program Structure

You are required to complete a total of 24 courses (subjects) including 22 core courses and 2 electives.  You will undertake a number of courses related to Tourism, Management and Marketing such as:
