Distance Education

CQUniversity's Distance Education allows you to study for a degree from home, on the road or virtually anywhere. Indeed, our programs are so flexible, you can continue working if you wish or schedule your studies around your personal lifestyle or family commitments. Distance Education can carry out most undergraduate degrees and many research programs. Some may even be combined with your employment.

Course Materials

At the start of each term, we send Distance Education students a study package that may include study guides, resource material, assignments, CDs or DVD's or, for science subjects, even home laboratory kits. These course materials are amongst the best in the country and have been refined and improved over many years. Most importantly, we don't just leave you on your own. Support Service

At CQUniversity, we know that the lifestyles of Distance Education students are often very different from those of students studying on-campus. Distance Learning is supported by contact with lecturers, tele-tutorials, online student discussion forums and special services such as CQUniversity's off-campus mentoring program - DeMentor - in which experienced Distance Education students link up with first year students.

You can use the CQUniversity libraries at the Rockhampton, Mackay, Bundaberg, Gladstone or Emerald campuses, or you may be able to arrange borrowing rights with another institution. You can borrow books by mail or request photocopies of articles. All CQUniversity students can use our extensive electronic library resources. And distance students can attend lectures and use computer labs at Central Queensland campuses. You may also use Learning Network Queensland centres at any one of 50 locations throughout the State.
