Before deciding to study as a mature-aged student, I completed one year of a Bachelor of Arts degree; a TAFE course in Office Skills; worked in numerous office jobs and discovered community musical theatre! I decided I wanted to pursue this as a career and the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) had the perfect course for me!

I started teaching singing in 2007 and later went on to spend six years as a private voice tutor at Ravenswood School for Girls. Since December 2021, I have been teaching from my dedicated home studio under the rebranded name "The Voice Hut”.

I provide private tutoring in either speech or singing. I love the variety of voices I get to work with - from kids to adults, males and females. I love sharing students' experiences when they start to understand their instrument and realise they can make any sound they want!

My degree gave me a strong foundation in music as well as dancing and acting. While at the Con, I was introduced to Estill Voice Training - a model which is based in voice science. My interest in this area has grown and my teaching is strongly influenced by the Estill model.
