2018
I previously attempted a Bachelor of Environmental Science in 2011, but this had not worked for me career-wise. Travel and technology are things that I have passion for, so I completed Tourism certificates at TAFE with hopes of a career as a Travel Agent. With no international travel experience, I was continually overlooked. In late 2014, I submitted a Change of Course request and was accepted into a Bachelor of Digital Media.Â
After I graduated I attempted to start my small graphic and web design business named Capillatus Creative in 2020 but this was difficult due to the COVID-19 lockdowns. In 2021, I commenced working at CQUniversity as a Digital Media Technician.Â
In this role I am responsible for monitoring and providing advice about equipment usage and needs, and I handle online equipment bookings. I am also a Demonstrator - the on-campus Digital Media contact for three Digital Media Units. My main role is to assist students with in-class activities and contribute to online discussions when requested.Â
My degree enhanced my knowledge of various digital technologies, both behind-the-screen and in real life.Â
