Before becoming a registered nurse, Tanisha had worked in the hospitality industry as a chef and a bartender. She then decided to complete a Certificate III in Aged Care and a Diploma in Nursing to become an enrolled nurse. In 2020, Tanisha graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing and became a fully qualified registered nurse.
Since graduation, Tanisha has been running the nursing department for a community care organisation as well as working within the casual pool at her local public hospital. In her current role as a nurse manager, Tanisha is responsible for overseeing and providing clinical care to aged care clients in their homes, helping them to continue living in their own homes for longer.
Tanisha refers to her nursing degree as a “life changer”. It has helped her to advance her career and secure her current job.
