Musical talents are set to shine at CQCM concert
CQUniversity's Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) Bachelor of Music students will showcase their musical talents at their end-of-year performance on Friday' 30 September 2022.
The concert will also feature the extraordinary trombone playing of Jeremy Borthwick alongside the CQCM students and staff' performing works from 'New Orleans to Newcastle' from Buble to Borthwick'.
CQU Music Head of Course Dr Peter McKenzie said that performing to a large audience will provide a critical learning opportunity for the music students.
"This concert is the cumulation of months of hard work'" Dr McKenzie said.
"It allows the students to showcase their new repertoire and how they have developed as both musicians and performers over the past year.
"Performance is at the heart of what we do at CQCM' and each year seems to top the one before."
Dr McKenzie encouraged music enthusiasts to attend and immerse themselves in a night of pop' jazz and blues.
"Family' friends and community members are urged to come along for a fun night of live music'" he said.
"Tickets are only $35 for adults' with the money going back to CQCM to support the next generation of musicians.
