Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have an important role in designing and development of smart homes. There have been major improvements in the designs and frameworks of a smart home. But still there is not significant development for designing a smart home for the elderly and disabled population in Australia.
Why My Research is Important/Impacts
The anticipated significance of this research includes enabling a smart home in such a way that the elderly and disabled population can have access to continuous and seamless healthcare services when they are staying in their own convenient home atmosphere. It will also make sure that they will minimise their long visits to the hospitals and clinics. Moreover, the ill effects of loneliness are minimised, when elderly population is staying at their own place.
