Selection Process

As per the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP) Funding requirements, the funds provided as part of this program are directed exclusively towards students studying an undergraduate course from regional and remote Australia (as defined by ABS), low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds (as defined by ABS), and/or Indigenous persons.

As scheduled unpaid industry placements can run over the standard term period, students undertaking a placement in one block that exceeds 20+ weeks, not within the current term will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, students who have a split placement will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Students are required to apply for the CQUniCares Industry Placement Scholarship either before commencing or during the scheduled placement dates. Students will not be eligible for this scholarship if the placement is completed or passed.

As there are a limited number of scholarships available, all scholarships may be exhausted prior to the advertised closing date.

Payment of Scholarship

Successful applicants are required to enter their current financial institution details (banking details) into their MyCQU (refer to instructions) for payment to occur.

Payment will be made to the successful applicant following post Census date eligibility checks. Requests for an early payment will not be considered.
