Student Kurt Dunlop talks about receiving a Student Success Scholarship

Transcript

Hi, I’m Kurt Dunlop.

I’m a third-year student studying Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

I was so excited when I found out that I was the recipient of a CQUniCares Student Success Scholarship because it meant that I could participate in all the things that I needed to do for my university course.

But not just that. Just the financial stability helped during a time of not being able to work during that full time study, that was there to be able to assist with some of the financial needs that I have.

I have found children – two in primary school, two in high school. So the extra financial support was incredible for me being able to help with the school fees or other things that the children need for the school. For camps. So it’s been a great blessing for my family’s life.

I want to say a massive thank you to the donors of the CQUniCares Student Success Scholarship. Without these funds I wouldn’t be able to fulfil many of the things that I have been able to do with that financial benefit. And it’s really helped me on my way with the studies and obtaining those necessary things.
