To have the support of the Scholarship donor, Holding Redlich and be connected with a mentor was incredibly helpful.

My name is Dionne Singleton and I completed a Bachelor of Laws at CQUniversity. I was also a recipient of the CQUniCares Holding Redlich Indigenous Law Scholarship.

I was at work when I received the email about my scholarship.  The relief I felt was incredible as it was a tough period for me financially.  I was initially hoping to receive some financial assistance to purchase textbooks, but was not expecting to be the recipient of a generous scholarship.

It was also a confidence booster.  To have the support of the Scholarship donor, Holding Redlich and be connected with a mentor was incredibly helpful.

Since graduating, I’ve been working towards completing my Practical Legal Training (PLT) and am aiming for admission to the Legal Profession in June 2025.

My advice to students would be to prioritise your study as it is a relatively short period in your life, but the long-term rewards are worth it.
