I am thankful that I can continue to pursue my dreams and provide for my family.

My name is Kurt Dunlop, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Occupational Therapy student at CQUniversity Bundaberg and recipient of a CQUniCares Student Success (Bundaberg) Scholarship.

As a low-income earner and father of four, I have faced challenges covering the costs of my ongoing studies. Textbooks, equipment, travel to and from university, and placement prerequisite medical requirements are just a few of the expenses I have encountered.

Despite my financial challenges, I remain committed to my studies and have contributed to the university community in various volunteering capacities, including as an interviewer for medical pathway student interviews, demonstrating occupational therapy practices at Explore Event for year 5 students, attending Occupational Therapy Graduate Conference, and assisting at U-Beach Day in Bargara.

I am thankful that I can continue to pursue my dreams and provide for my family. Thank you once again for your generous support of students at CQUniversity, for boosting my confidence and enabling me the opportunity to push onward toward my future goals.
