Overview

Escape Rooms are a simulation technique relying on gamification concepts engaging learners to develop knowledge and skill by solving puzzles and challenges to "escape" within a set time limit. The technique is favoured for engaging students to develop knowledge and skills through repeated practice in a safe learning environment. Suited to virtual, face-to-face or blended (combination of both virtual and face-to-face) delivery escape rooms are a popular and favoured simulation approach for increasing students' knowledge acquisition, self-confidence in skills performance and satisfaction with learning. This micro-credential is relevant to any healthcare professional interested in developing and implementing escape room simulations. In this course, you will develop a tailored escape room experience. You will gain skills in writing appropriate scenarios, selecting engaging puzzles and games, and crafting effective challenges to include in your escape room design.

This is a non-creditable micro-credential which is awarded a digital badge and Certificate of Completion which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Our micro-credentials are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
