As a community care worker, you may face various challenges when working with clients who display behaviours of concern, such as aggression. It can be difficult and stressful to provide professional care to clients who may cause harm to themselves, the worker and/or others. Learning common purposes and triggers associated with aggressive behaviour, and practical tips and strategies to help deal with challenging behaviours while maintaining positive relationships may help you to succeed in this area. As a micro-credential, this course gives you a certificate of completion and a digital badge to display in your profile or share on social media.

Providing professional care to clients who may cause harm to themselves, the worker and/or to others can be difficult and very stressful. This online micro-credential provides an overview of common purposes and triggers associated with aggressive behaviour. Students will also learn some practical tips and strategies to help deal with challenging behaviours and maintaining positive relationships.

There are no specific entry requirements, however, students enrolling in this course should work in the healthcare profession.
