The Doctor of Education (EdD) is a doctoral course of supervised research and research tasks designed for professional practitioners/educators, comprising structured research tasks; proposal development, and a thesis component.
The Doctor of Education is a course of supervised research and study that may be undertaken in a range of possible fields. Your research will lead to the submission of a thesis, which makes a significant original contribution to knowledge. This contribution can be in the form of new knowledge, or of significant and original adaptation, application and interpretation of existing knowledge. As per enrolment advice and Research Higher Degree course rules, as a research candidate, you will be enrolled in a unit of study specific to your discipline for the duration of your candidature, but no credit points apply to this unit. The course comprises research and thesis development activities as outlined in the course rules.
