Karl Dodd

Karl's current role as a consultant at FIFA draws on a wide range of his experiences and knowledge to assist member associations (countries) with their strategic plans. He also focuses on leading teams, navigating them through difficult situations, and applying systemic and cultural change.

Since graduating, Karl has undertaken various roles such as Head of High Performance for the Brisbane Roar FC and Newcastle Jets. He has been the Head Coach of an International Men's Soccer team (Guam) and an assistant coach at the Newcastle Jets.

Karl was a former professional soccer player and wanted a smooth transition into coaching when he finished playing. CQUni's online study options allowed him to complete his degree whilst he continued to play football professionally. Karl's degree has given him a great platform to continue to develop from, and he is now undertaking a PhD in Sociotechnical Systems.
