Kartik cherished every moment of studying at CQUniversity and has fond memories of robust discussions and debates with his peers, working in the field, interacting with international students and engaging with different industries.

Some of the skills that Kartik developed during his studies include critical and analytical thinking, effective listening, communication, and patience. His research coupled with industry experience has given him a good insight into blending research with fast-changing industry and community needs.

Kartik believes that completing a PhD is not the end of a journey but the start. He has taken his findings to the real world and believes that researchers who transform their research into the industry can lead some of the most innovative and progressive waste practices in Australia.

Kartik’s advice for the next generation of researchers is to connect with the industry, transfer knowledge and skills, and be the catalyst: "Research doesn’t stop with you!"
