Vietnamese student, Do Van Huong standing on a veranda with a white sign, with green decals behind him

Do Van Huong works at the National Institute of Animal Sciences in Vietnam. His agricultural research is set to develop the ties between Australia and Vietnam's beef industry.

Through refining breeding programs, and upskilling vets and technicians, Do's contribution to research and teaching is also expected to boost the cattle industry in Vietnam. His research is described as a ‘game-changer' for the beef industry in Australia

Do's research focuses on cryopreservation - a process which dramatically improves the viability of frozen cattle embryos produced through IVF. This process allows simplified transportation and transfer of genetics for dairy and beef cattle.

CQUniversity is proud to recognise Do as the recipient of the 2020 Alumnus of the Year – Early Career Award.
