Kumar Parakala
Kumar is a global leader and well-known contributor in the ICT and digital innovation fields. He has a history of industry recognition, including being awarded the Leadership Excellence Award by the Queensland Government in 2000, Honorary Life Membership (HLM) and induction into the Australian Computer Society's Hall of Fame in 2011, and being named the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC) Digital Disruptors' International Professional of the Year in 2016.
After commencing his career in the health and government sectors, Kumar moved into the professional services sector with KPMG, a firm he served between 2000 and 2015. Kumar held senior partner and global leadership roles at KPMG, driving several high-growth ventures that were rated market leaders including the Technology Advisory Practice.
After leaving KPMG, Kumar founded Technova in 2015, a digital transformation advisory firm that was acquired by GHD in 2017. Subsequently, he led the formation of GHD Digital, a global digital transformation agency in 2018. Over the next two years, as the founder and President of GHD Digital, Kumar led the growth of GHD Digital to more than 500 people, making it one of the fastest-growing corporate start-ups in the global professional services industry.
