Online mode

Students studying in online mode are not required to physically attend on-campus teaching or learning activities. The course is predominantly delivered online or through other distance education activities, assisted by electronic communication and computer-based education technology. Course content is studied through several methods, including online discussion forums, electronic library resources, by contacting lecturers and teachers via email, and by accessing study materials online. Students may be required to participate in collaborative online learning experiences with teaching employees and/or other students and will be expected to undertake significant independent study as part of their learning experience. Online students can access a range of educational and non-educational University support services through the University’s extensive network of campuses and study centres. Residential schools and off-campus work-integrated learning, including work placements, may be included in some courses studied through online mode. Students studying in online mode at the course level can only enrol in units that are available in either online or mixed mode.
