Extenuating circumstances relating to a student's welfare

The phrase 'extenuating circumstances relating to a student's welfare' refers to those circumstances in which CQU may take action to cancel an international student's enrolment before appeal and complaints processes are exhausted. This is an unusual situation, but it may occur if the student has not demonstrated satisfactory academic progress and has not responded to requests for contact (e.g. may be missing) in accordance with the Monitoring Academic Progress - Unsatisfactory Progress Policy on the CQU policy website.

For details of the extenuating circumstances relating to the welfare of an international student, refer directly to Standard 13 of the National Code.
