Short Course
A type of vocational or professional development course which provides practical training, educational and skills development offerings. Short courses may be:
Accredited short course (ACC) - a nationally recognised vocational skill set or set of units studied as a short course, which results in a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. The completed units can be used for credit transfer into another nationally recognised training package.
Non-accredited short course (NACC) – a vocational short course which provides skills and knowledge but is not part of a nationally recognised training package, and results in Statement of Attendance. It cannot be used for credit transfer into a nationally recognised training package, however it could be used as part of the of the recognition of prior learning (RPL) process.
Professional development course (PDC) - a non-award short course to meet professional development requirements and industry workforce development needs. PDC courses are known as a micro-credential.
