Donation a perk ahead of major race
Chanel College students taking part in tomorrow's CQ Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP) recently received a significant contribution on behalf of all participating schools: a hydrogen electrolyser donated by the event's program sponsors, Alpha HPA and Rio Tinto Yarwun.
The device has been made available for use by any of the competing schools if the electrolyser provided as part of the program fails - so teams can rest easy in knowing that they will still be able to charge their hydrostiks needed for the last days of practicing - and then of course racing!
“We are grateful for the support of Alpha HPA and Rio Tinto Yarwun, whose commitment to education and innovation has made this possible," CQUniversity Project Manager Dr Cal Devney said.
"Their generosity gives teams and organisers peace of mind for the upcoming event preparation.”
