Ex'cite'ment for researchers in top 2 per cent
CQUniversity researchers have been named as some of the world's most widely-cited scientists with more than 35 academics in this year’s Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists list.
Compiled using bibliometric data from the Scopus database, the list features over 190,000 researchers from a pool of more than eight million active scientists worldwide. It spans 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.
Published by Stanford University' the Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists list is considered the most prestigious globally.
Results are based on single year citations of the top authors for 2023.
CQUniversity Vice-President (Academic) Professor Michelle Bellingan expressed her pride in the large number of researchers included in the 2023 list.
"Seeing so many of our researchers included in this global ranking is a testament to the high-impact, globally recognised research taking place at CQUniversity," she said.
“The dedication of our academics has positioned us as a leader in research with real-world impact. I congratulate each researcher on this recognition and thank them for producing research making a positive difference.
