Aviation students to benefit from new flight provider in Townsville
CQUniversity has partnered with Townsville Flight Training (TFT) to deliver pilot training to its growing Aviation student cohort in the region.
CQUniversity Head of Aviation Doug Drury said the partnership was a wonderful opportunity for both CQUniversity and its Aviation students.
"Our Aviation student numbers are growing in the region and this partnership will provide students with added opportunities for flight training out of Townsville'" Professor Drury said.
"We're incredibly excited to have TFT join the CQU network."
TFT operates from the Townsville International Airport's controlled military airspace and also utilises training areas to the east and west of Townsville.
TFT Chief Pilot' Dean Tierney said the company was pleased to enter into the agreement with CQU to deliver flight training to the students of North Queensland.
"We are passionate about developing this degree to ensure students will be 'job ready' and we look forward to offering students at CQU the benefits of living and learning in Townsville."
