The leaders of tomorrow take the stage at CQU graduations

Australia's future leaders took the first step of their careers when they crossed the stage at CQUniversity's 2021 Graduation Ceremonies last month.

More than 300 students celebrated across four campus locations including Mackay' Townsville' Cairns and Perth surrounded by family' friends' lecturers' and peers.

CQU Vice-Chancellor and President Prof Nick Klomp congratulated the graduates on their achievements and instilled upon them that they carry CQUniversity's reputation with them.

"At CQUni we change lives.

"Over the past several decades we have changed the lives of more than 100'000 graduates. Graduates just like you who have had a dream about their future career' and they have made it a reality through hard work and perseverance'"

Prof Klomp said.

"Today this is the challenge I am throwing to you - as newly qualified CQUniversity graduate make your mark on the world' think about how you can change lives' both now and as you progress throughout your career."

With a diverse range of graduates in attendance' the cohort included:

- Nine students with Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications' 277 Higher Education and three PhD graduates.

- Five students were recognised for their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestry with an Indigenous sash.

- CQUniversity's first Master of Clinical Nursing cohort.
