Photo and Video Consent
CQUniversity (CQU) respects the importance of protecting your privacy. At our events, we may take photographs and video footage of you to use, reproduce and publish for promotional purposes such as:
- use on our digital and social media pages
- on our events pages on the CQU Website
- for release to news outlets for the purpose of reporting on the event
- in CQU internal content such as newsletters and publications.
By attending a CQU event you consent to CQU’s use of your image in this way.
Photographs and videos are captured by third-party professional photographers wearing high visibility vests with ‘Official CQUni Photographer’ written on them. We may share the photographs and videos with our media and creative agency who help us publish the material captured at CQU events. The photographs or footage will not be sent overseas and will only be used on our website and social media pages hosted in Australia.
We may seek your consent to collect and use images if you are the parent or guardian of a minor, or if the material we collect reveals sensitive information such as your religious beliefs or political opinions.
If you wish to access a photo or video of you, we can put you in touch with the photographer present at the event. Please provide details of the event you attended so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
