The impact of rurality on anxiety in secondary school students

Thesis Abstract

Anxiety is an identified risk for students and its rates are increasing amongst young people. While there are numerous articles available on anxiety and adolescents, little is known about the impact that rurality may have on anxiety in secondary school students.

Why my research is important/Impacts

Anxiety is increasing in presentations among adolescents and its negative impact on academic achievements is therefore on the rise. Whilst anxiety is common amongst adolescents from all geographical locations, rural students have additional factors that impact them. The aim of this research is to identify the facts and provide support in minimising the impact of anxiety for rural students.
