Thesis Name

MAESTRO — CONDUCTOR OF THE MICROBIAL ORCHESTRA

Thesis Abstract

Maestro is a novel product with a microbiota remodelling approach that is unique on the market. Instead of focusing on taxonomy as a collection of "most likely" taxonomic assignments, Maestro focuses on remodelling the function of microbiota. This approach gave promising results in terms of pathogen control, gut strength and the control of significant issues that are currently plaguing the poultry industry.

Why my research is important/Impacts

The project will provide valuable information on the mechanism and modes of product activity in the gut and liver and determine if the product is efficient in terms of antimicrobial resistance, Campylobacter colonisation, especially in the ileum and duodenum mucosa, the benefits in early and in the late production, toxicology and disease predisposition profiles via RNAseq.
