A Study on How Teachers Incorporate the 4Cs skills to Meet Students Learning Need

Thesis Abstract

Fostering the 4Cs skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving and creativity and innovation) in students has been compulsory since the revision of the Indonesian 2013 curriculum in 2017. Such a pedagogical shift is a complex process that involves teachers' beliefs. This research project aims to contribute to our understanding of vocational teachers' beliefs-practices relationship about the integration of the skillset.

Why my research is important/Impacts

The findings of this project will provide comprehensive information about the quality of teaching learning process on this classroom reform and reveal the vocational teachers' underlying assumptions that contribute to or impede their classroom changes. This will help the government, the educational policymakers, and the designers of the teacher professional development to prepare the appropriate program and technical support for the teachers. Based on the findings of the study, relevant guidelines for the integration of the 4Cs skills could also be prepared.
