This research will investigate educational strategies currently in place in regional high schools for the development of jazz vocalists, with a view to identifying key elements that contribute to the development of vocal jazz musicianship.
Why my research is important/Impacts
The proposed research will provide an insight into the challenges and opportunities experienced by young jazz singers in regional areas in Australia. It endeavours to discover what resources can be introduced to support classroom music teachers when facilitating jazz vocal education.
