Health Promotion

Play a proactive role in creating a healthy and sustainable future when you study Health Promotion as a major in your CQU degree.

If you believe prevention is better than a cure, a career in Health Promotion may be for you. Available via our Associate Degree of Public Health and Bachelor of Public Health, our Health Promotion major will give you the understanding and skills required to help keep populations healthy and well through education and disease prevention strategies. Learn about topics such as drugs in society, health promotion concepts, First Nations and community engagement, community assets and needs assessment and more while also gaining foundational knowledge in the broader field of public health.

Through the Bachelor of Public Health, you will have a choice of minors to complement your studies, including Built Environment, Emergency and Disaster Management, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Exercise Science, Human Resource Management, Indigenous Studies, International Development and Humanitarian Service, Safety Science and Science and Sustainability.
