Important Scholarship Application Information

There are 3 different funding pools: Donor-Funded Scholarships, HEPPP-Funded Scholarships and Dare to be Deadly Scholarships. You are only required to submit one scholarship application for each of your desired funding pools. The Student Scholarships Team will assess your eligibility against all available scholarships and advise you of an outcome by Census date of the relevant term.

Funding Pools

HEPPP-Funded Scholarships target students studying an undergraduate degree and identified as living in regional and remote Australia, low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds, and/or Indigenous persons.

Dare to be Deadly Scholarships target students who identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and are able to provide Confirmation of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Identity or Cultural Reference documents and are enrolled in one of the following courses:

  • STEPS 
  • Bachelor
  • Bachelor Honours 
  • Associate Degree
  • Advanced Diploma (Higher Education)
  • Diploma (Higher Education)
  • Postgraduate (Coursework)

Donor-Funded Scholarships target specific students based on the individual Donor Scholarship eligibility criteria which vary from term to term.

How to Apply during the Application Round

Information on how to apply will become available closer to the opening of the Term 2, 2025 scholarship application round. Term 2, 2025 Scholarship Applications will open in early May 2025.

How to Apply for a Bursary

Instructions on how to apply can be found in the "Apply Now" section of each bursary page. A full list of bursaries will be available on the Scholarships website closer to the opening date. Term 1, 2025 Bursaries will open Census date, 1st April 2025.
