Taxation status

All gifts of $2 or more made to CQUniversity are tax deductible.

CQUniversity is:

  • Registered as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) under federal government legislation – Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
  • Endorsed by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) as an income tax concession charity (TCC).

Donate via Queensland’s Containers for Change initiative

Queensland’s Containers for Change scheme provides a 10-cent refund for each Eligible Container returned for recycling at a registered Container Refund Point.

You can choose to donate your refund to the CQUniCares Emergency Grant using the Scheme ID: C10055885.

Not only will you be helping to keep Queensland clean, you will also be supporting students experiencing real financial hardship – doubling your impact!

Make a regular donation

A simple and effective way to support a charity close to you is to join CQUniversity's Workplace Giving program. You can donate any amount you wish, starting at just $2 per fortnight. Because the donation comes from pre-tax salary, you'll receive an immediate tax deduction for your gift while 100% of your donation can go towards supporting your chosen charity, including your chosen CQUniCares Fund.
